The Road to Pan Kids 2021
The road to Pans… what a road it has been. As our competitors get ready to fly out tomorrow, there is no better time to reflect on the past 6 weeks. It amazes me how much effort these competitors have put into their training. They have trained 4 days week, including Sundays, for an hour and a half. No complaining or giving up. They happily invited training with other competitors from different schools across DFW to grow and perfect their craft. Speaking of the other competitors from different schools, we thank you as well for showing up and practicing with us. It truly was a pleasure to have all of you cross-train with us. It is moments like these that brings me joy to see our jiu-jitsu community unite and work together to achieve greatness.
The past year has been rough(harder for others) in all aspects of life for us all. It is remarkable to see how supportive our gym parents and community have been; we are truly blessed. We thank those parents for revolving their daily schedules around camp and showing up. We thank all of you who contributed by providing drinks and healthy snacks for ALL of our competitors to replenish after a hard day of training.
We want to thank our sponsors. With their contributions we were able to raised $13,050.00 :
Root DFW
Murski Breeding
Hart Pool and Spa
Kari Smith from Farmers Insurance
MSL Heathcare Partners
C.D. Pizza
Meat U Anywhere
8303 Solutions
Legacy ER and Urgent Care
A big thank you to the individuals that also contributed through our Gofundme. None of this would be possible without the help of all of you.
Time to sign off and wish our competitors the best of luck this weekend. A final word of thought:
“In the end, it’s extra effort that separates a winner from second place. But winning takes a lot more that that, too. It starts with complete command of the fundamentals. Then it takes desire, determination, discipline, and self-sacrifice. And finally, it takes a great deal of love, fairness and respect for your fellow man. Put all these together, and even if you don’t win, how can you lose?” ~ Jesse Owens
